Microsoft releases an Xbox Full Screen Experience preview for the MSI Claw
Microsoft is expanding its Xbox Full Screen Experience (FSE) to more devices, starting with the MSI Claw family of handheld gaming PCs. This feature, which provides a console-like navigation interface for Windows PC gaming, was initially launched with the Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X earlier this month. While the introduction of FSE aims to enhance the gaming experience on handheld devices, early adopters have reported various issues, particularly with the initial models. For those considering enabling the Xbox FSE on their MSI Claw devices, it may be wise to hold off until the bugs are resolved and the feature is made available beyond the Windows Insider program.
To activate the Xbox FSE on supported devices, users can navigate to Settings > Gaming > Full Screen Experience and select Xbox as their home app. Once set up, players can easily access the FSE via Task View and Game Bar, or even configure their handhelds to launch directly into full screen mode upon startup. Microsoft has indicated that this feature will soon be available for additional OEMs, with Lenovo’s Legion Go 2 already slated to receive the Xbox FSE next year. (and the new handhelds). If you’re interested in installing the Xbox FSE on your MSI Claw, you might want to wait until some of the problems are ironed out and until it’s available outside of the Windows Insider program.
