Disney Plus, Hulu, and HBO Max are all over 60 percent off for Black Friday

By Eric November 27, 2025

As the holiday season approaches, many families are gearing up for cozy nights in filled with movies and TV shows. This year, streaming services are making it even easier to indulge in binge-watching with a variety of enticing Black Friday deals. Among the highlights is Apple TV, where subscribers can enjoy six months of service for just $5.99 a month—over 50% off the regular price. This deal allows access to critically acclaimed series such as *Ted Lasso*, *The Studio*, and the highly anticipated sci-fi show *Pluribus*, making it a prime time to dive into Apple TV’s offerings. Notably, Apple TV is also set to become the exclusive home for Formula 1 racing starting in 2026, adding to its appeal for sports fans.

HBO Max is also rolling out remarkable discounts, offering new and returning subscribers an annual plan with ads for just $2.99 a month, saving nearly $100 over the year. This deal comes as a welcome relief following recent price hikes, allowing viewers to catch popular shows like *House of the Dragon* and *The Last of Us*. Meanwhile, Disney Plus and Hulu are providing a bundled subscription for only $4.99 a month, which is perfect for families looking to enjoy content from both platforms. This bundle includes beloved classics from Disney and Pixar, as well as Hulu originals like *The Handmaid’s Tale* and holiday favorites like *Home Alone*.

Other streaming platforms are also joining the discount frenzy, with Paramount Plus offering new subscribers two months for $2.99 each, and YouTube TV providing a base plan for $72.99 a month for the first three months. These promotions are timely as they coincide with the holiday season, encouraging families to gather around the TV for some festive entertainment. While Netflix is notably absent from the Black Friday deals this year, the variety of options available across other platforms ensures that viewers have plenty of choices to keep them entertained through the holidays and beyond.

The holidays are a great time to see family, exchange gifts, and enjoy a good meal. It’s also the perfect time to gather around a TV and catch up on must-see shows and movies. Vince Gilligan’s
Pluribus
is a fantastic new sci-fi series, while Hulu is the only place you can catch the buzzy
Alien: Earth
. Thankfully, multiple streaming services are offering big discounts on subscriptions for Black Friday, helping to mitigate the many price hikes that have swept the industry in 2025.

Right now, for instance, you can sign up for
six months of Apple TV
for just $5.99 a month, which is over 50 percent off the usual price. You can also snag a year of
HBO Max with ads
for $2.99 a month, saving you nearly $100 over the course of 12 months. These aren’t the only deals, either. We’ve rounded up a selection of other streaming discounts below. Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear Netflix — which is the only place you can catch the
latest season of
Stranger Things
— is participating in Black Friday this year. Maybe next time.
