AI is accelerating a tech backlash in American classrooms

Additionally, schools are experimenting with hybrid models that combine written and oral assessments, allowing for a more comprehensive evaluation of student learning. As educational stakeholders continue to seek innovative ways to enhance learning outcomes and ensure academic integrity, the resurgence of handwritten and oral exams represents a promising shift towards more holistic and rigorous assessment practices. This trend highlights a broader movement within education to prioritize depth of understanding and the development of essential life skills, preparing students not only for exams but for their future careers.
