Google unveils Gemini 3 AI model and AI-first IDE called Antigravity

By Eric November 18, 2025

In a significant advancement for artificial intelligence, Google has accelerated the rollout of its Gemini family, introducing the latest iteration, Gemini 3 Pro. This new model builds on the previous Gemini 2.5 version, which has already been integrated into various Google services such as Search and Gmail. The Gemini 3 Pro, available in a limited capacity, promises to enhance user experience with more immersive and visually rich outputs while addressing previous concerns regarding misinformation. Google claims that this iteration sets a new benchmark for “vibe coding,” a term that reflects the model’s improved ability to interpret and generate content that resonates with users on an emotional level.

Gemini 3 is positioned as a pivotal step towards achieving artificial general intelligence (AGI). It boasts expanded reasoning capabilities and a superior understanding of various media forms, including text, images, and video. Early testers have praised the model, noting its performance on the LMArena leaderboard, where it achieved an impressive ELO score of 1,501—50 points higher than its predecessor, Gemini 2.5 Pro. This leap in capability underscores Google’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of AI technology. Additionally, the company has unveiled Antigravity, a new AI-first integrated development environment (IDE), designed to facilitate the development of applications that leverage the power of Gemini 3.

As Google continues to refine and expand its AI offerings, the implications for users and developers alike are vast. The integration of Gemini 3 into everyday applications suggests a future where AI not only enhances productivity but also enriches the way we interact with technology. With its focus on immersive experiences and improved accuracy, Gemini 3 Pro could redefine user expectations and set new standards in the AI landscape. As this technology evolves, it will be crucial to monitor its impact on various sectors, from content creation to software development, and the ethical considerations that accompany such advancements.

Google has kicked its Gemini rollout into high gear over the past year, releasing the much-improved Gemini 2.5 family and cramming various flavors of the model into Search, Gmail, and just about everything else the company makes.

Now, Google’s increasingly unavoidable AI is getting an upgrade. Gemini 3 Pro is
