The Year in Charts: Here Are Billboard’s Top 5 New Latin Artists of 2025

By Eric December 10, 2025

The Billboard Year-End Charts have once again celebrated the remarkable achievements of Latin artists, with Bad Bunny earning the title of Top Latin Artist for the seventh consecutive year. Since his breakthrough in 2019, Bad Bunny has consistently dominated the charts, showcasing his unique blend of reggaeton and trap music that has captivated audiences worldwide. His influence extends beyond music, as he has become a cultural icon, pushing the boundaries of genre and redefining Latin music’s global presence. Alongside him, Karol G continues her reign as the Top Latin Female Artist, marking her seventh year at the forefront. Her powerful voice and compelling lyrics resonate with fans, solidifying her status as a leading figure in the Latin music scene.

In addition to the established stars, the Year-End Charts have introduced a new category, highlighting the Top New Latin Artists of 2025. This year’s list features five breakout talents who have made significant strides in the industry. Leading the charge is Netón Vega, whose innovative fusion of corridos and reggaetón is reshaping the Música Mexicana landscape. Since his debut on the Billboard charts in 2024, Vega has made a remarkable impact, appearing on multiple charts, including the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200. Following him is Colombian sensation Beéle, who, despite starting his career in 2020, has surged to prominence this year. His infectious Afrobeats and pop-dancehall sound has garnered collaborations with major artists like Shakira and Ed Sheeran, further propelling his career. Beéle’s notable project, “La Plena – W Sound 05,” has also earned recognition with a nomination for best urban/urban fusion performance at the 2025 Latin Grammys.

The Billboard Year-End Charts reflect the cumulative performance of artists from October 26, 2024, to October 18, 2025, based on metrics such as album units, airplay, sales, and streaming. This comprehensive methodology ensures that the rankings accurately represent the artists’ success over the year, distinguishing them from calendar-year recaps. As the Latin music scene continues to evolve, these charts not only highlight the achievements of established artists like Bad Bunny and Karol G but also shine a spotlight on emerging talents like Netón Vega and Beéle, who are set to shape the future of Latin music. With the industry thriving and new voices rising, the coming years promise even more exciting developments in this vibrant musical landscape.

Billboard’s
year-end music charts represent aggregated metrics for each artist, title, label and music contributor on the weekly charts from Oct. 26, 2024, through Oct. 18, 2025. Rankings for Luminate-based recaps reflect equivalent album units, airplay, sales or streaming during the weeks that the entries appeared on a respective chart during the tracking year. Any activity registered before or after a title’s chart run isn’t considered in these rankings. That methodology detail, and the October-October time period, account for some of the difference between these lists and the calendar-year recaps that are independently compiled by Luminate.
