Pusha T Wants Tyler, The Creator to Play Him in a Movie: ‘He Really Dives Into Character’

By Eric December 5, 2025

In a recent Reddit AMA, hip-hop duo Clipse, comprising brothers Pusha T and Malice, were asked a fun yet intriguing question: who would portray them in a potential biopic? Pusha T was quick to suggest Tyler, The Creator as the ideal candidate to take on his role. He praised Tyler for his ability to immerse himself in character, particularly highlighting his creative music videos that showcase a range of themes and narratives. Pusha envisioned a climactic scene where Tyler, embodying his persona, triumphs over all competition, walking off into the sunset as the last man standing. This playful yet insightful response not only emphasizes Tyler’s artistic versatility but also hints at the dramatic storytelling that could be woven into a Clipse biopic.

Malice, on the other hand, took a more contemplative approach when asked about his potential on-screen representation. He admitted he struggled to pinpoint an actor who could authentically capture his essence. Malice emphasized the importance of attitude, authenticity, and resilience in any portrayal of his life. He expressed a desire for the film to reflect the brothers’ journey through hardship and their ultimate triumph, underscoring a narrative of perseverance. This thoughtful reflection highlights the deeper themes that a biopic about Clipse could explore, moving beyond just their musical achievements to delve into their personal struggles and growth.

Tyler, The Creator is no stranger to the world of acting, having previously starred in the cult classic sketch comedy show “Loiter Squad” and recently taking on a supporting role in the upcoming film “Marty Supreme,” set to be released on Christmas Day. His diverse talents make him a compelling choice for the role of Pusha T. As the conversation around a potential Clipse biopic gains traction, fans are left eagerly awaiting the development of a script that could bring the brothers’ remarkable story to life on the big screen. With their rich history and dynamic personalities, a film about Clipse could resonate with audiences, celebrating their impact on hip-hop while also inspiring viewers with their journey of resilience and authenticity.
