Taylor Swift, ‘Ordinary’ and The Wiggles: Here’s What Australians Stanned on Spotify In 2025

By Eric December 4, 2025

In a remarkable display of musical dominance, Taylor Swift has once again topped Spotify’s Wrapped results for Australia, marking her third consecutive year at the forefront of the streaming platform. The U.S. pop sensation leads a North American-heavy lineup that includes notable artists such as Drake, Morgan Wallen, The Weeknd, and Billie Eilish. This achievement underscores Swift’s unparalleled popularity in Australia, where her latest album, *The Life of a Showgirl*, not only soared to No. 1 on the national ARIA Chart but also extended her record for the most chart-topping albums by a female artist to 14. The album shattered records, becoming the most-streamed debut album in ARIA history and achieving the highest vinyl sales for a debut. Additionally, Swift’s single “The Fate of Ophelia” marked her 13th No. 1 hit, adding to her impressive catalog.

In an unprecedented feat, Swift’s album release saw her sweep the entire top 12 on the ARIA Singles Chart, a milestone never before accomplished. Meanwhile, Alex Warren’s “Ordinary” emerged as the most streamed song on Australian Spotify accounts this year, followed closely by Gracie Abrams’ “That’s So True” and Billie Eilish’s “Birds of a Feather.” On the local front, The Wiggles were recognized as the most popular homegrown artist, with The Kid LAROI’s album *The First Time* being the most-streamed local LP. The rock legends AC/DC also made their mark, ranking third among the most-streamed Australian acts and dominating the Top Throwback Songs list with classics like “Thunderstruck” and “Highway to Hell.” With a population of approximately 25 million, half of whom are active Spotify users monthly, Australia’s music scene continues to thrive, showcasing diverse talents and genres.

This year’s Spotify Wrapped results not only highlight the immense influence of artists like Taylor Swift but also reflect a rich tapestry of local talent, with emerging artists and beloved classics resonating with Australian listeners. As the streaming landscape evolves, it will be fascinating to see how these trends develop and which new artists will capture the hearts of fans in the coming years.
