Trump to void all documents allegedly signed by Biden via autopen, threatens perjury charge

By Eric November 29, 2025

In a bold move that has stirred significant controversy, former President Donald Trump announced on Friday his intention to invalidate all documents purportedly signed by President Joe Biden using an autopen. In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump claimed that a staggering 92% of Biden’s signed documents were executed with this device, which replicates a person’s signature using a handwriting template. Trump argued that the use of the autopen is only permissible when explicitly authorized by the sitting president, asserting that Biden did not provide such approval. He further accused the “Radical Left Lunatics” surrounding Biden of undermining the presidency and suggested that they had effectively taken it away from him.

The implications of Trump’s announcement are profound, as he vowed to nullify all executive orders and related documents not directly signed by Biden himself. Among the significant executive orders that could be at risk are those aimed at lowering prescription drug costs, enhancing environmental justice, and regulating artificial intelligence. The autopen, a device utilized by the U.S. government since the Truman administration, has been deemed legal for presidential signatures as long as its use is authorized. However, Trump’s claims raise questions about the legitimacy of Biden’s executive actions and suggest potential legal repercussions for the current president, including a threat of perjury charges should he assert involvement in the autopen process.

As the situation unfolds, it remains uncertain how the validity of Biden’s signatures will be determined, particularly given the substantial number of executive orders and memoranda he has issued during his presidency. With Trump’s announcement marking a significant escalation in the ongoing political battle between the two leaders, the ramifications of this decision could reshape the landscape of Biden’s legislative achievements. As this story develops, observers are urged to stay tuned for updates on the potential legal and political fallout from Trump’s declarations.

TRUMP RENEWS ATTACKS ON BIDEN AUTOPEN PARDONS, CLAIMS HE ‘NEVER GAVE THE ORDERS’
During Biden’s presidency, he signed 162 executive orders, in addition to hundreds of memoranda, proclamations and notices.
Though Trump signed an executive order in January rescinding nearly 80 Biden-era executive orders, some of those that appear to remain in full force, and may now be subject to cancelation, include: Executive Order 14087, which
lowers prescription drug costs
in the U.S.; Executive Order 14096, which centers around environmental justice; and Executive Order 14110, which cracks down on the development and use of artificial intelligence (AI).
It is unclear who will validate the signatures on documents allegedly signed by Biden.
