Taylor Swift’s ‘The Fate of Ophelia’ Holds Court Atop U.K. Charts for Sixth Week

By Eric November 29, 2025

Taylor Swift continues to dominate the U.K. Official Singles Chart, celebrating her sixth non-consecutive week at No. 1 with her track “The Fate of Ophelia” as of November 28. This song, featured on her 12th studio album *The Life of a Showgirl*, first ascended to the top of the charts on October 10, where it held the coveted spot for three consecutive weeks. Although briefly dethroned by K-Pop group Demon Hunters’ hit “Golden,” Swift reclaimed the No. 1 position earlier this month and has maintained her reign since, showcasing her enduring appeal and the strength of her latest release.

In addition to Swift’s impressive performance, the U.K. pop scene is witnessing significant movements from other female artists. RAYE has achieved a personal best with her single “Where Is My Husband!,” which has reached a new peak at No. 2, while Olivia Dean is also making waves with her track “So Easy (To Fall In Love),” breaking into the top three for the first time. Dean’s success continues with her other singles “Man I Need” at No. 4 and the Sam Fender collaboration “Rein Me In” at No. 5. Furthermore, Dean’s latest addition, “Let Alone the One You Love,” makes its debut at No. 21, indicating her rising star status in the music industry.

This week’s chart also highlights notable new entries, including Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande’s emotional duet “For Good,” which lands at No. 14, part of the *Wicked: For Good* soundtrack. Other tracks from the soundtrack, such as “No Good Deed” and “As Long As You’re Mine,” also make their presence felt within the top 40. Meanwhile, the mysterious rapper EsDeeKid, rumored to be Timothée Chalamet, has made a striking entry into the charts with his song “Century” at No. 10, followed closely by “Phantom” at No. 12 and “4 Raws” at No. 27. This blend of established stars and emerging talents illustrates the dynamic nature of the current U.K. music scene, as it continues to evolve and surprise fans week after week.
