HUNTR/X Brings ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ to 2025 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade With ‘Golden’ Performance
The 2025 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade witnessed a thrilling performance by the fictional K-pop girl group HUNTR/X, known for their vibrant energy and captivating music. Voiced by talented artists EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and REI AMI, HUNTR/X made their daytime television debut on November 27, delivering a show-stopping rendition of their hit single “Golden.” The performance was not only a highlight of the parade but also marked a significant moment for the group, which has rapidly gained popularity since its inception. Accompanied by an impressive giant balloon of a blue demon cat from Netflix’s animated film, the trio dazzled the audience with their choreography, dressed in striking black outfits, and supported by a dynamic crew of golden-gloved dancers. The atmosphere was electric, culminating in a burst of fireworks that added to the festive spirit of the occasion.
HUNTR/X’s journey to the parade stage has been remarkable. Earlier this year, they made their live television debut on the season premiere of “Saturday Night Live,” where they performed “Golden” alongside global superstar Bad Bunny. This was followed by a full-length performance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” showcasing their versatility and stage presence. “Golden” has become a cultural phenomenon, topping the Billboard Hot 100 for eight weeks and helping to propel the film’s soundtrack to remarkable heights. In fact, the soundtrack made history by becoming the first film soundtrack to top the U.S. albums chart since Disney’s “Encanto” in 2022, with additional tracks like “How It’s Done,” “What It Sounds Like,” and “Takedown” also making waves in the top 40.
The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade featured a star-studded lineup this year, with performances from various artists, including Cynthia Erivo, Lainey Wilson, and Busta Rhymes, among others. However, HUNTR/X’s unique blend of K-pop and their engaging performance style set them apart, captivating audiences both in-person and at home. As the group continues to rise in the music scene, their appearance at this iconic event solidifies their status as a significant player in the entertainment industry.
