Taylor Swift Makes More History as ‘The Fate of Ophelia’ Tops Adult Pop Airplay Chart

By Eric November 25, 2025

Taylor Swift has once again made waves in the music industry with her latest single, “The Fate of Ophelia,” which has risen to the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Adult Pop Airplay chart dated November 29, 2025. This marks a significant milestone for Swift, as it becomes her 14th No. 1 hit on this chart, solidifying her position as the solo artist with the most top spots in its history. Only Maroon 5, with 15 No. 1s, has more on this chart. “The Fate of Ophelia” has not only topped the Adult Pop Airplay chart but is also enjoying success on the Pop Airplay chart and the Billboard Hot 100, where it has maintained its reign for an impressive seven weeks. Furthermore, Swift’s album, *The Life of a Showgirl*, is concurrently dominating the Billboard 200 for the seventh consecutive week.

The achievement of having a single and an album simultaneously lead four major Billboard charts—Billboard 200, Hot 100, Pop Airplay, and Adult Pop Airplay—is a rare feat. Swift is the first artist to accomplish this since Harry Styles did so in June 2022 with his album *Harry’s House*. This remarkable achievement highlights Swift’s continued influence and popularity in the music industry, further evidenced by her ability to dethrone Alex Warren’s “Ordinary,” which had an impressive 25-week run at the top of the Adult Pop Airplay chart, tying it with Santana’s “Smooth” for the longest No. 1 in the chart’s history.

In terms of her previous successes, Swift’s journey on the Adult Pop Airplay chart showcases her remarkable consistency and evolution as an artist. Her extensive list of No. 1 hits includes fan favorites such as “Cruel Summer,” “Anti-Hero,” and “Shake It Off,” among others. With “The Fate of Ophelia,” Swift continues to push boundaries and redefine what it means to be a leading figure in contemporary music. As she breaks records and garners accolades, her artistry and connection with fans remain at the forefront, ensuring her place in music history for years to come.
