Apples iPhone Fold is on track, but it might be pricier than we thought

By Eric November 25, 2025

Apple enthusiasts have reason to be excited about the company’s forthcoming foldable phone, the iPhone Fold, as recent reports indicate significant advancements in its development. According to a report from the Chinese site UDN, which was highlighted by MacRumors, Apple has reportedly achieved a “crease-free” design for the device. This means that when fully unfolded, the phone’s display will lack the visible crease that has plagued many current foldable devices on the market. This innovation is expected to be a major selling point for the iPhone Fold when it launches next year, providing a sleek and uninterrupted viewing experience that could set it apart from competitors.

However, the excitement is tempered by the anticipated price tag of the iPhone Fold, which is projected to be around $2,399 according to Fubon Research analyst Arthur Liao. This figure significantly exceeds earlier estimates that ranged from $1,800 to $2,500, placing the iPhone Fold firmly in the premium price category. While the high cost may deter some potential buyers, it aligns with Apple’s strategy of positioning its products as high-end offerings. In terms of specifications, the iPhone Fold is expected to feature dual rear and dual front cameras, although it will not include the advanced variable aperture lens that will be available on the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro. As Apple gears up for the launch, the anticipation surrounding the iPhone Fold continues to grow, with many eager to see how it will redefine the smartphone experience.
