Gemini 3 launches: Heres every new feature and how to try them

By Eric November 21, 2025

Google has unveiled its latest AI model, Gemini 3, which the tech giant claims is its most advanced and intelligent system to date. This launch marks a significant milestone as Gemini 3 is integrated into various Google products from day one, a first for the Gemini series. According to Google executives, Gemini 3 represents a crucial leap forward in the company’s ambition to create more capable and context-aware AI. The new model boasts enhanced reasoning abilities, improved multimodal understanding, and a deeper awareness of user intent, setting it apart from its predecessors.

One of the standout features of Gemini 3 is its advanced reasoning capabilities. Google emphasizes that the model can comprehend nuances, tackle complex problems, and understand depth and context in ways that previous versions could not. In benchmarking tests, Gemini 3 Pro achieved an impressive 1501 Elo score on the LMArena leaderboard, surpassing both Grok and Gemini 2.5 Pro. The model also excelled in academic reasoning, scoring 37.5 percent on Humanity’s Last Exam without any external tools and reaching 91.9 percent on GPQA Diamond. Furthermore, a new enhanced mode, Gemini 3 Deep Think, pushes these capabilities even further, achieving a remarkable 41 percent on Humanity’s Last Exam and 45.1 percent on the ARC-AGI-2 challenge, specifically designed for long-term reasoning tasks.

Gemini 3 is now live across the Google ecosystem, making it accessible through various platforms. Users can experience its capabilities in AI Mode in Search, which features more dynamic and generative interfaces, available for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers. The Gemini app has also received a redesign, enhancing user experience with a revamped My Stuff folder and improved shopping functionalities. For developers, Gemini 3 is available in AI Studio, Vertex AI, and the new agentic development platform, Antigravity. Additionally, the upgraded Gemini Agent can now handle multi-step tasks such as inbox organization and appointment management. For those eager to try Gemini 3, it can be accessed through AI Mode in Search or directly via the Gemini app, with enterprise customers able to deploy it through Vertex AI. The high-end Deep Think version will be rolled out in the coming weeks, following further safety evaluations. With these advancements, Google is poised to redefine the landscape of AI technology, offering users a more intuitive and powerful experience.
