By Eric November 19, 2025

Ariana Grande made a memorable solo appearance on *The Tonight Show* on November 18, captivating audiences with a vibrant medley of iconic duets alongside host Jimmy Fallon. Although her *Wicked* co-star Cynthia Erivo was absent, Grande didn’t miss a beat, kicking off the performance with a few lines from the classic song “For Good.” The dynamic duo then showcased their vocal chemistry with renditions of timeless hits such as “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” and “The Boy Is Mine,” as well as contemporary favorites like “Shallow” and “Apt.” Their performance culminated in a playful nod to *Dirty Dancing*, where Grande and Fallon teased a dramatic lift, only to surprise the audience with a dummy dressed like Grande instead.

This appearance marked Grande’s tenth time on *The Tonight Show*, where she and Fallon also engaged in light-hearted banter about their experiences filming the *Wicked* movies. The anticipation for the second part of the film, set to premiere on November 21, added an extra layer of excitement to the evening. Grande showcased her versatility not only as a singer but also as a performer, demonstrating her baton-spinning skills with a model of Glinda’s wand, further highlighting her connection to the beloved character she portrays.

Looking ahead, Grande is set to return to the *Saturday Night Live* stage for her third hosting gig on December 20, sharing the spotlight with music legend Cher. Expressing her excitement, Grande described the upcoming episode as potentially “one of the gayest SNL episodes that has ever happened,” promising a night filled with laughter and unforgettable performances. As fans eagerly anticipate both her *Wicked* film release and her SNL hosting, Grande continues to prove her status as a multi-talented artist in the entertainment industry.
