Drake Gets ‘Max Offer’ to Perform at Rolling Loud ‘Every Year,’ Festival’s Co-Founder Says

By Eric November 18, 2025

In a recent livestream discussion, Rolling Loud co-founder Tariq Cherif revealed that the festival has consistently extended a “max offer” to rap superstar Drake to headline their events, but the artist has yet to accept. Cherif emphasized that he sends this lucrative proposal every year, underscoring the high demand for Drake at the festival, which has become a staple in the hip-hop community since its inception. Despite the financial allure, Cherif noted that the iconic rapper has not performed at Rolling Loud, leaving fans to wonder what might be holding him back from joining the lineup.

The conversation also touched on other notable artists, including Kanye West, whom Cherif expressed unwavering support for, stating, “That’s my guy.” He mentioned that West is always welcome to perform at Rolling Loud, despite the artist’s tumultuous history with the festival, including a last-minute cancellation in 2022. Cherif’s comments reflect the festival’s commitment to fostering relationships with top-tier artists, even as they navigate the complexities of the music industry.

In addition to the ongoing pursuit of big names like Drake, Rolling Loud is expanding its reach globally, with its debut festival set to take place in Mumbai, India, this weekend. Cherif and co-founder Matt Zingler highlighted the burgeoning hip-hop scene in India, expressing excitement about introducing the festival to a new audience. With headliners such as Central Cee, Wiz Khalifa, Karan Aujla, and Don Toliver, the festival aims to celebrate local talent while also connecting international acts with Indian fans. This expansion marks a significant milestone for Rolling Loud, showcasing their dedication to building a global hip-hop community and creating spaces for diverse musical expressions.
